The story behind the artwork

My tribute to the mussel. Oranges and purples blend harmoniously within these fleshy folds. Mussels are fascinating creatures with an ability to adhere firmly to surfaces often pummeled by strong ocean waves. How can something so small and seemingly delicate have such incredible strength? Nature is truly inspiring!
