The story behind the artwork

In the canyons, you never know what you might find, as they are transformed by each flash flood. Huge trees become lodged high between walls and menacingly seem to defy gravity. Other times, it appears as if some guardian angel has carefully placed debris in ways that hep you pass through the canyons. The image chute captures this latter wondrous occurrence. The tree in the image is dead, but still beautiful and full of purpose.
