The story behind the artwork

What do you see here? These mysterious forms are flowery floating buds springing up from a blue cloud. They don't seem flat. In fact they are two marine flatworms inspecting one another. What amazing creatures they are. If they were lying still on the sandy sea floor they would in fact look flat as pancakes. But when they are motivated, they twist, turn and wiggle into the most curious shapes.

Completely unrelated to the nudibranch, these creatures are polyclad flatworms. They absorb oxygen and nutrients through their delicate "skin."
