The story behind the artwork

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Peru. As we hiked along the marvelously crafted Inca Trail, I couldn't stop taking photos of flowers and plants. I must have taken a hundred photos of the various orchids we saw along the way. Some were as small as a pea! My green orchid is the first in what I hope to be a series of paintings that honor the incredible botany of Peru.
