dragon
I was diving off the coast of Kaua'i when I saw one of these nudibranchs for the first time. The dive master knew where it lived and saved revealing it until the end of the dive. Only the long winded would see this guy. He lifted a dead piece of coral revealing a special habitat. The slug lay there completely content, unharmed by external forces. Its respiratory organs (or ceras) extends along its back, creating its dragon-like appearance. Incredibly, this creature is only a few inches long. It is not normally blue like this one, but when you are deep underwater, it will appear to be because of the limited color spectrum you are able to see in the limited amount of light reaching you through the water above.
