The story behind the artwork

Inspired by a trip I took to Turkey, this image is a memento of a visit to the healing waters of Pamukkale. These are ancient calcified terraces that have been thought for centuries to have healing powers. Having had just gone through a difficult time in my own personal life, I wanted healing when I was there and found it in unexpected ways.
